The Roto Gravure Printing system is a solution for printing on mostly plain surfaces. Its purpose is to achieve a completely uniform and finer printing. In a Roto printing unit the ink is fed via a chamber doctor to an Gravure roll, A rubber roll is provides the back pressure on this roll. With each revolution the gravure roll cells are filled with fresh ink and doctored by the chamfered doctor blade so that the roll is repeatedly supplied with a virgin film of ink, giving excellent quality of printing..

The Gravure roll are generally constructed of M.S. with copper coating and the etched with the design. The depth of the etching varies for each application. The gravure roll are hard chromed to give a longer life. The rubber rolls are thrown on and off pneumatically/manually.
